It’s the winter season again and our summer sporting surfaces are being put to bed for the winter! But don’t worry there’s plenty of sport to watch and lots of social events to attend!

Premiership Football is on Sky but why not watch and give your support to your local Sports Club. There’s football played at the club every Saturday afternoon and Sunday Morning. The first team play in the Cheshire League Division 2, the Reserves in the Cheshire Reserve Division (alternate Saturdays but check the football web site) and the Veterans in the Cheshire Veterans League Division 2 on Sunday mornings along with the newly formed U21 team playing in the East Cheshire Sunday Football League Division 3.

On the Lacrosse front juniors play every Saturday morning (face1000) and seniors every Saturday afternoon (face1400). As for the 1^st team they play in the NEMLA Premiership Div 2, A team in the NEMLA North 2 and the B team in the NEMLA North 3. Junior teams are in the age groups under 12, under 14, under 16 and under 19.

If you want to stay dry there’s indoor Bowls and Table Tennis played throughout the week (see the sporting sections of our web site for details).

There’s a programme of social events leading up to the Festive Season and various activities during the Christmas period….There’s our legendary Carol service “Carols by Candlelight” with the accompaniment of the Hazel Grove Brass Band…&...mince pies…&…mulled wine and much more!...see the “What’s On” for details!   

The club is also a venue for many other societies & clubs during the year including The Shanti Academy of mixed martial arts, Poynton Probus club, The Stockport Dance Centre, Manchester City Supporters Club (Poynton Division) etc. If you are a member of a society or club and are short of a venue for meetings or social events give the Club Manager a ring to discuss availability.

If you would like to be a Social Member of the Club its £13.00 and Vice President Membership is £28.00. Just ask for a membership form at the bar or speak to our Club Manager.
